Archie Wilson shares his picks and plays for Day 14 of the World Cup.
What a great game to open the day with, as Switzerland, who have had a solid start to their World Cup, take on Canada, who as a home nation are looking like a rather dangerous side when they get the support behind them.
For Switzerland, they will feel like they are in a position to secure a win here on paper, but Canada will be riding high off their last outing and will look to replicate that dominant performance.
I feel as though this one will be a closely fought game, and it might just come down to one or two bits of quality from the big-name players like Jonathan David and Dan Ndoye.
Tips
Best Bet: Over 2.5 Total Goals @ $2.05
Best Goalscorer: Jonathan David ATS @ $3.20
Same Game Multi: Over 2.5 Total Goals + Jonathan David ATS + Dan Ndoye 1+ Shots On Target @ $7.85
Not quite as high-profile of a game, but still an interesting one nonetheless, as it has the two teams at the bottom of Group B. Both teams have managed a draw and a loss, but it’s still all in front of them if either can take the chance to secure three points and be one of the eight third-place teams that qualify.
When looking at the sides, I do tend to lean towards Bosnia & Herzegovina, just because they are a bit more of a complete side while also having put together better performances so far in the tournament. They also have a proven goalscorer in Edin Džeko, which can be the difference in games like this.
Tips
Best Bet: Bosnia & Herzegovina and Over 2.5 Goals @ $1.91
Best Goalscorer: Edin Dzeko ATS @ $1.75
Betcha Boost: Edin Dzeko to Score & Bosnia & Herzegovina Win to Nil @ $4.00
The Tartan Army heads to the sunny state of Florida as they meet their biggest challenge yet in the Carlo Ancelotti-led Brazilian side, who are coming off their first win of the World Cup and, most excitingly, could potentially welcome Neymar back into the fold in some form or fashion.
For Scotland, the hope will be that they don’t get swept up in the occasion, as a draw would likely be enough to secure knockout football. They will also have to temper the hype surrounding a Brazilian side who, while welcoming their superstar back, will be looking to become that jogo bonito side they used be.
Will Ancelotti be able to get his side back to where we expect Brazil to be? That question will start to be answered over the next 90 minutes, and if they can put Scotland to the sword, then that will be a great start to earning back their reputation.
Tips
Best Bet: Vinicius Junior To Score Or Assist @ $1.62
Best Goalscorer: Neymar ATS @ $2.45
Same Game Multi: Neymar ATS + Over 2.5 Total Goals @ $3.51
People are starting to realise just how good Morocco are, and while that generally means good things for them, there is also a bit of a curse, as the expectation from the outside begins to grow, applying more pressure on them to be perfect.
For Haiti, they really only have pride to play for, meaning they should enter this one with a nothing-to-lose attitude, which can be dangerous, especially as such big underdogs. However, I do believe in the technical quality of Morocco, which is why I think they should win comfortably tomorrow morning.
Tips
Best Bet: Ismael Saibari ATS @ $1.95
Best Goalscorer: Ismael Saibari ATS @ $1.95
Same Game Multi: Ismael Saibari ATS + Both Teams To Score: No @ $2.91
South Africa have been a strange side in this tournament, generally playing rather poorly but still being able to grab a draw for their troubles, which keeps all options on the table with a potential win.
For South Korea, they are sitting rather pretty with a win under their belts so far and will be looking for at least a draw in this one against South Africa, which should secure a Round of 32 berth. For that, I can see them leaning on their biggest name and former Tottenham player, Heung-min Son, who, now playing through the middle, should have the opportunity to find the back of the net.
Tips
Best Bet: Draw @ $3.75
Best Goalscorer: Heung Min Son ATS @ $2.20
Same Game Multi: Heung Min Son ATS + Draw @ $10.49
As all the host nations have done so far, Mexico have got out to an absolute flyer, securing two wins out of the gate and a healthy goal difference of +3 for their troubles. To close out their group stage, while having secured top spot, I still expect them to try to show out for their home fans.
That being the case does not suit Czechia very well, as they have been nothing short of ordinary so far and are running into a bit of a buzzsaw in Mexico at home, which will no doubt be a very steep uphill battle as they try to secure three points.
Tips
Best Bet: Both Teams to Score: Yes @ $1.91
Best Goalscorer: Raul Jimenez ATS @ $2.50
Same Game Multi: Both Teams to Score: Yes + Mexico or Draw @ $2.29
