Join Archie Wilson as he previews the Week 2 of the 2026/27 NFL season.
Two traditionally good sides over the past couple of years meet to start Week 2 of the NFL at the new Highmark Stadium. Entering this one, the Bills were able to win a very closely fought battle against one of the best defensive units in the NFL, DeMeco Ryans’ Texans, while the Lions required overtime to beat the New Orleans Saints.
The Lions aren’t the same juggernaut they were just a season or two ago, and the Bills are starting to build a better side around Josh Allen for what feels like the first time in his career.
For mine, Allen remains the best quarterback in the league, and I think that with a couple of new weapons at his disposal, he and the Bills might be a bit too much for the Lions to handle.
Tips

Anytime Touchdown Scorer: Amon-Ra St. Brown @ $2.10
SGM: Buffalo Bills (-4.5), Amon-Ra St. Brown ATS and Josh Allen ATS @ $6.82
The Bears have been one of my favourite teams to watch over the past couple of years, and all of that has to do with their third-year signal-caller, Caleb Williams. The former USC product, by way of Oklahoma, is the best young quarterback in the league, and his side putting up an absurd 59 points in the opener was just the beginning of what I expect to be a massive year for Williams.
In Week 2, his side takes on a Vikings team that was able to flip the script on the Packers, with Kyler Murray and Carson Wentz playing lights-out and dragging them to a 1-0 record.
The worry for Vikings fans is how they are going to stop this Bears offence, led by Williams and head coach Ben Johnson. As of right now, I don’t know if they can, and I expect another offensive explosion from the team from Chi-Town.
Tips
Best: Over 48.5 Total Points @ $1.94
Anytime Touchdown Scorer: D’Andre Swift @ $2.25
SGM: Over 48.5 Total Points, D’Andre Swift ATS and Caleb Williams 225+ Passing Yards @ $4.59
After a humbling divisional rivalry game to open the season, the Chargers are set to face off against Klint Kubiak’s Raiders, who are coming off a nice win against the Dolphins in which they flexed all their strengths.
For the Raiders, that means feeding their dynamic young weapons in Brock Bowers and Ashton Jeanty, who lit up Week 1. The hope for Kubiak is that they will be able to control the game through those two dynamic players and keep the ball out of Justin Herbert’s hands.
On the Chargers’ side of this clash, they are in desperate need of a win after last week’s showing, and the aforementioned Herbert needs to put up a massive performance to settle into the new season.
Tips
Best: Over 43.5 Total Points @ $1.94
Anytime Touchdown Scorer: Ashton Jeanty @ $2.25
SGM: Over 43.5 Total Points, Ashton Jeanty ATS and Ladd McConkey ATS @ $6.75
Two AFC sides will battle on Sunday Night Football, with Patrick Mahomes and his Kansas City Chiefs getting back to back prime-time games to open the season. This week, they will take on Danny Dimes and his Colts.
The Chiefs fired a massive warning shot to the rest of the league on Monday Night Football against the Broncos, who were seen as one of the best defensive units in the league. However, the Chiefs were able to completely nullify that unit with their, wait for it… run game.
Yes, on the back of their new back, Kenneth Walker, the Chiefs were a tough-nosed rushing unit that constantly gashed the Broncos’ defence. If Andy Reid’s side is able to tote the rock like that every week, then everyone might need to watch out because the Chiefs will be back in a big way.
Tips
Best: Kansas City Chiefs (-6.5) @ $1.87
Anytime Touchdown Scorer: Rashee Rice @ $2.35
SGM: Kansas City Chiefs (-6.5), Rashee Rice ATS and Jonathan Taylor ATS @ $6.97
What a game to close out the week, with the Rams essentially getting the closest thing to a bye week after their disappointing outing in Melbourne. They are set to take on one of the most exciting teams in the league, John Harbaugh’s Giants.
Big Blue opened their season with a massive rivalry win over the Cowboys in an electric MetLife Stadium. The likes of Jaxson Dart, Cam Skattebo, Malik Nabers, Isaiah Likely and their NASCAR pass rush were able to dominate from start to finish against the side from Jerry World and got their season off to a 1-0 start.
For the Rams, we all know they were embarrassed down under by the 49ers, and over the following days, things got worse, with their generational pass rusher, who they had just traded a treasure chest of picks for, now requiring knee surgery.
Now, I am not all out on the Rams because, honestly, how could you be? But after what transpired in Week 1, this will be a very intriguing match-up.
Tips
Best: Over 47.5 Total Points @ $1.90
Anytime Touchdown Scorer: Jaxson Dart @ $3.50
SGM: Over 47.5 Total Points, Jaxson Dart ATS and Kyren Williams ATS@ $6.97
