Join Archie Wilson as he breaks down the third All Blacks Test of the Greatest Rivalry Tour.
The Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry Tour is poised exactly where the neutral fan would want it, with the series evenly split at 1-1 heading into the final Test in South Africa at FNB Stadium.
The hype surrounding the Test is immense, with two evenly matched teams going head-to-head. No doubt, come 3am NZT, the whole rugby world will stop and admire these two gargantuan sides going head to head.
From an ABs perspective, there is plenty to clean up after their seven-point loss last time out. For me, the key areas are dealing with the high ball and the pressure the Springboks put you under at lineout time.
It is no secret that the Abs counter-attacking style relies on accuracy in those areas to get the most out of what is described as the best ball in rugby.
What could this game materialise into come Sunday morning? Well, based on what we have seen, points certainly have not been at a premium. Add in the fact that we are back at altitude, and fatigue will no doubt be a factor early and often.
For me, this game script points towards a higher-scoring affair, putting the total points line under threat. While a track-meet style should favour the visitors, it could also allow New Zealand to keep things close, especially if they can get their outside backs, like Leroy Carter, plenty of ball throughout the 80 minutes.
