NRL Women Best Bets | Round 6

Oscar Pannifex breaks down every game of NRLW Round 6 and provides his best betting plays of the weekend.

Canterbury Bulldogs Women
vs
North Queensland Cowboys Women
2:45pm Saturday | Belmore Sports Ground, Sydney
Bulldogs 1-12 @ $2.55 & Elizabeth MacGregor Anytime Try @ $1.92

It looked like the Cowboys were headed to another heavy defeat but North Queensland impressed to turn the tables against Canberra in NRLW Round 5.

Key to securing their first competition points of the year were Margot Vella and Abigail Roache, who formed a nice combination on the left edge to play a part in all three Cowboys tries.

North Queensland get another winnable matchup here against a Canterbury side who don’t have the attacking systems to make this a shoot-out.

That being said, Canterbury are never easy beats while Angelina Takairangi-Katoa owns the middle and Tayla Preston kicks positively on fifth tackle. If this game plays out how it reads on paper – as a low scoring grind – I like the Dogs to finish strongest.

Tips

Best: Bulldogs 1-12 @ $2.55
Anytime Try Scorer: Elizabeth MacGregor @ $1.92
Same Game Multi: Bulldogs 1-12 + Elizabeth MacGregor Anytime Try @ $4.86

Cronulla Sharks Women
vs
Gold Coast Titans Women
5:15pm Saturday | Ocean Protect Stadium, Sydney
Titans (-6.5) @ $1.90, Teagan Levi Anytime Try @ $3.00 & Jaime Chapman Anytime Try @ $2.10

Cronulla struck first against Wests last week but the gap between their best and worst remains. Despite multiple looks at the Tigers try line – while Wests were down to 12 women – in the first half, this Sharks attack struggled to turn field position into points.

In comparison, the Titans have genuine avenues to the try line down both edges this year.

Teagan Levi continues to tear up the competition in her maiden NRLW season, enjoying positive involvements on the ball down the right thanks to the work of Lauren Brown and Georgia Hale in the lead up. While the defence must also constantly consider Evania Isa’ako and Jaime Chapman on the far side of the field, the Titans are doing a good job of spotting and executing on defensive cues.

The Gold Coast know what works for them right now and can continue their winning form here.

Tips

Best: Titans (-6.5) @ $1.90
Anytime Try Scorers: Teagan Levi @ $3.00 & Jaime Chapman @ $2.10
Same Game Multi: Titans (-6.5) + Teagan Levi Anytime Try + Jaime Chapman Anytime Try @ $8.30

New Zealand Warriors Women
vs
Newcastle Knights Women
7:15pm Saturday | FMG Stadium Waikato, Hamilton
Knights 1-12 @ $3.35, Gayle Broughton Anytime Try @ $3.90 & Tenika Willison Anytime Try @ $3.60

Currently playing with the third-best defensive record in the NRLW, Newcastle are a team that won’t beat themselves in season 2026. The pressure their defence applies to the opposition – and the pressure it releases on the Knights own attack – is telling; they’re happy to stay in the grind, defend any errors, let Kirra Dibb kick them to corners and wait for points to come.

This improving New Zealand attack will provide a good test of the Knights finals credentials here.

Mele Hufanga made her club debut last week and is an immediate play-to target for the Wahs attack. She crossed herself in her first appearance but I like Hufanga to play the decoy sooner rather than later.

Tips

Best: Knights 1-12 @ $3.35,
Anytime Try Scorers: Gayle Broughton @ $3.90 & Tenika Willison @ $3.60
Same Game Multi: Knights 1-12 + Gayle Broughton Anytime Try + Tenika Willison Anytime Try @ $43.60

Canberra Raiders Women
vs
Brisbane Broncos Women
1:35pm Sunday | GIO Stadium, Canberra
Broncos 13+ @ $1.57 & Deleni Paitai Anytime Try @ $2.65

A try with their very first possession last week sums up the beauty of this Brisbane Broncos side right now.

Two tackles into a kick return set, Ali Brigginshaw has the vision and smarts to tip her centre into space down the short side and immediately put Brisbane on the attack. A Shannon Mato offload kept the ball moving after the half-break before Tamika Upton doubled up down that left edge to gift Lauren Dam first points.

With strike and footy IQ in every channel across the park, the Broncos are a handful to contain in NRLW season 2026.

The way Canberra started the season suggested they might contain this Broncos attack but the Raiders have disappointed in the past fortnight. If they continue to make errors in possession and fall off tackles in defence, Brisbane will make them pay.

Tips

Best: Broncos 13+ @ $1.57
Anytime Try Scorer: Deleni Paitai @ $2.65
Same Game Multi: Broncos 13+ + Deleni Paitai Anytime Try @ $3.43

St. George Illawarra Dragons Women
vs
Wests Tigers Women
3:35pm Sunday | St George Venues Jubilee Stadium, Kogarah
Wests Tigers 13+ @ $2.05, Harmony Crichton Anytime Try @ $3.30 & Caitlin Turnbull Anytime Try @ $2.05

This new-look Wests Tigers squad has quickly found its identity as a gritty, resilient footy side. They work hard in defence, stay composed under pressure and appear comfortable in the grind and while under fatigue.

On top of that, the silk and smarts of Raecene McGregor is must-watch television this year.

The 28 year old is in career form as the shotcaller of this improving Tigers attack, and she profiles well against a struggling St George defensive system here. If Wests can win the ruck and get McGregor over the ad-line in good-ball, she’ll find points more often than not.

Tips

Best: Wests Tigers 13+ @ $2.05
Anytime Try Scorers: Harmony Crichton @ $3.30 & Caitlin Turnbull @ $2.05
Same Game Multi: Wests Tigers 13+ + Harmony Crichton Anytime Try + Caitlin Turnbull Anytime Try @ $9.03

Sydney Roosters Women
vs
Parramatta Eels Women
8:15pm Sunday | Polytec Stadium, Gosford
Roosters 13+ @ $1.04, Olivia Kernick Anytime Try @ $2.40 & Otesa Pule Anytime Try @ $4.50

Parramatta have been hammered by injuries and suspensions to start the regular season 0-and-5. Elsie Albert continues to lead from the front while Rachael Pearson kicks smartly on fifth tackle, but the Eels errors and ill discipline under pressure remains.

Comparatively, this Roosters juggernaut has hit top speed in recent weeks after narrow wins against Newcastle and Canberra. They’ve got too much go forward through the middle right now to give Parramatta a chance in yardage, and history suggests the Chooks will find points from there.

We were robbed of an Olivia Kernick try last week but I like her to sell a dummy and crash over herself on the back of any ruck speed that Easts generate in good-ball here.

Tips

Best: Roosters 13+ @ $1.04
Anytime Try Scorers: Olivia Kernick @ $2.40 & Otesa Pule @ $4.50
Same Game Multi: Roosters 13+ + Olivia Kernick Anytime Try + Otesa Pule Anytime Try @ $10.56
