Aussie’s look like they could be dominating Super Rugby with all four teams inside the top six.
We were one short last week which means we got some bonus cash, and with the Chiefs, Blues and Fijian Drua getting a rest this week we’re left with four games for the round.
After going 4/5 a couple times this season, the chance to go 4/4 this week seems like a prime opportunity. Let’s get it.
Since the market opened at the start of the week the Hurricanes have continued to shorten meaning we’re getting a nice line for the Waratahs here. The Tahs are traveling to Wellington after upsetting the Brumbies last weekend. A result that should give them plenty of confidence.
The Canes have a strengthened forward pack with players returning from injury but lose their playmaker and number 10, Harry Godfrey.
It’s wet down in Wellington which in my opinion leans towards a closer match than the bookies have priced it.
I think the Tahs at +12.5 is a great bet.
Another line that I think is too big here. Yes the Highlanders have to cross the ditch but the Brumbies couldn’t get the job done last weekend as favourites and I think the Highlanders a chance for an upset.
Jamie Jospeh is doing his best with a young side. They’ve been a tad unlucky and could quite easily have another two or three wins under their belt.
This could be a real turning point for both teams and once again, I think it’ll be a tight one across the ditch.
The Crusaders continue to get better each week and have been piling on the points each round. However, they’ve been conceding points at a decent click too and Moana Pasifika have been one of the top scoring teams in the comp.
James O’Conner gets the nod to start at 10 for the Saders. We should see some great attacking rugby from these two sides with plenty of points being scored by both teams.
The last few games these sides have been involved in have seen the points total been cleared. With try scorers being as short as $1.45 it seems like the bookies are expecting plenty of points too.
Carlo Tizzano has been a wrecking ball for the Force.
He has scored eight tries in five games including three doubles. The Reds are the most complete Aussie team and sit in third but the Force have continued to be sneaky and under Leon McDonald as attacking and backs coach they’ve been scoring plenty of points. Many thanks to Tizzano.
Because of the match up and how good the Reds are we’re seeing inflated odds for Tizzano to dot down. Closer to $3 seems like a bargain and is how we’re going to round out Round 7 of Super Rugby Pacific.
