It’s that time of the week again, with the Super Rugby team lists being released. It’s about time we crack on with another preview for the weekend’s action. After getting off to a hot start in the first few weeks, last round was not so kind for the betcha tips, so we are looking to buck that trend and get a few more green ticks on the sheet this weekend. Highlanders vs Hurricanes Friday, 7:05 PM Hurricanes (-6.5) @ $1.90 The biggest game of the round comes on Friday evening, as the Hurricanes will play their first New Zealand derby…

What another exciting round of Super Rugby we have just witnessed, as it had just about a little bit of everything. Within that action, there were plenty of standout performers, and we once again have our list of the top five players from across the weekend. 5. Xavi Taele (1 Point) The Blues had a quite tough first half at home against Moana Pasifika, which certainly wasn’t on the menu for Vern Cotter’s side coming off a dominant win against the Crusaders only a week prior. One of the few players who performed solidly for 70 minutes was their young,…

The Super Rugby season is really heating up as we enter the middle period of the season, and no team has really put their hand up as the clear frontrunner, which is quite an exciting prospect for Super Rugby fans. A huge weekend of big-time bouts awaits, so let’s dive into another set of previews and best bets. Hurricanes vs Force Friday, 7:05 PM Hurricanes (-20.5) @ $1.90 The Force are coming off their third loss of the season to the Highlanders this past weekend, but there is no doubt the performance they put together was solid. For the Hurricanes,…

This Super Rugby season has been all over the place, with teams not really being able to stake their claims as clear-cut leaders of the pack. For most rugby fans, I feel that’s been a major plus. Not knowing what is going to happen each week has made watching player performances even more exciting. With that said, we are due to have another list of the top five players from the round, so why waste any more time? Let’s get into it. 5. Max Jorgensen (1 Point) If there is one thing Australia seem to be able to do when…

There is so much going on in rugby that round four of Super Rugby has almost taken a back seat to yesterday afternoon’s breaking news that Dave Rennie has been announced as the new head coach of the All Blacks. While that has certainly stolen the headlines, the new lease on life it provides to players who were left out in recent seasons will have a major effect on Super Rugby going forward. When you hear the new head coach say he will be picking on form, I expect every player in the competition to ensure they put their best…

That’s three weeks of Super Rugby action already done and dusted, and there was no shortage of upsets across the two day slate. That also means there were some standout performers across the games, and we’re here to highlight a few of those names. As you know by now, we have our top five players of the week list, so let’s dive headfirst into our third list of the season. 5. Timoci Tavatavanawai (1 Point) The Highlanders had their first real blunder of the Super Rugby season in the blowout loss, but the captain of the side still stood tall…

Another week bites the dust, meaning we have a new round of Super Rugby to sink our teeth into here at betcha. With two rounds now completed, we have seen all 11 sides take to the field and a bit of an early season pecking order is starting to take shape. With all that new information at our disposal, we once again have a crack at previewing the five game slate and throwing in some tips along the way. I feel there isn’t much else to say, so let’s just dive right into Friday night’s clash. Moana Pasifika vs Force…

Another week of Super Rugby is in the books, which means it’s time for us to crack into yet another edition of the Players of the Round series. As we did last week, there are going to be five names on the list, each earning corresponding points based on their ranking that will go towards the Player of the Year table. With it being another outstanding round, there were plenty of names brought to the table, but with our five ready to go, let’s crack into it. 5. Caleb Tangitau (1 Point) I have been giving this guy his props…

In the blink of an eye, it is already coming up to the second round of the new Super Rugby season. After a group of games that threw some curveballs at us from a results standpoint, it feels like we might need to adjust some of our thinking around a couple of the teams. With that new perspective provided from the first 80 minutes for most of the teams, I think we are positioned well to deliver our preview and best bets for round two. Hurricanes vs Moana Pasifika Friday, 7:05 PM Over 65.5 Total Points @ $1.90 The weekend…

A new Super Rugby season means a new weekly review series for us here at betcha. That also brings the return of a familiar feature we used throughout the 2025 NPC, a player points system awarded each round. What that will entail is us handing out points to the five best performers from each weekend slate and, by season’s end, we should have a full tally and be able to crown the betcha Super Rugby MVP. So, with the first weekend of the scintillating Super Rugby season done and dusted, there is nothing else to do but dive right into…
