We have Toorak Handicap tips and predictions for the Group 1 1600m race at Caulfield on Saturday.
Toorak Handicap odds have an even betting field available, so punters get generous odds.
Regal Award is the horse we want to be with in the Toorak Handicap, and we expect his best form to return.
He resumed with a terrific third in the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes over 1400m, beaten only 1.2 lengths by Angel Capital. He raced on speed that day and kept fighting all the way to the line, suggesting there is plenty more to come second-up.
The rise to 1600m looks ideal, and he gets 55kg from barrier 4. That gives Lachlan Neindorf plenty of options, particularly with the speed map suggesting Regal Award can settle just off the leaders.
He doesn’t have to improve dramatically on his first-up effort to be right in the finish, and the extra distance should allow him to find the line strongly.

Sun God is our next best pick, and could be the one to surprise at a good price.
He has already shown plenty of ability over the mile, winning twice in succession before his latest eighth-place finish. The latest run was below his best, but he has enough previous form to suggest he can bounce back.
Barrier 5 is a positive, and it should allow Jye McNeil to settle him much closer to the action than some of the wider-drawn runners. He gets just 54kg, and Waller has a knack of producing Group 1 winners at long odds.
We priced him much shorter than $19, so he’s a value bet at the current price.

She has been excellent this preparation, finishing second in the Let’s Elope Stakes before another strong third in the Stocks Stakes.
She had to work hard in the Stocks after racing wide without cover, yet she still kept finding the line, so that’s a good sign for the Toorak Handicap.
Barrier 14 is the obvious concern, and Declan Bates will need to find cover early. But if she can get across and avoid covering extra ground, her recent form suggests she is capable of hitting the line strongly.
The $27 quote looks generous for a mare who has done little wrong this preparation, and she should be running on nicely at Caulfield.

Punters get value odds with our Toorak Handicap SRM, which includes our three selected runners.
We have Regal Award Top 3, Sun God Top 5, and Too Darn Discreet Top 6, which pays $24.00 for our three-runner SRM.
It’s a wide-open field, which is good news for punters. The odds are too good to pass up for our three runners, and they should all be there in the thick of the finish.
