We have Flight Stakes tips and predictions for the Group 1 1600m race at Randwick on Saturday.
Flight Stakes odds have the three runners at the top of the market favoured to win, in what should be a competitive 3YO fillies race.
It’s no surprise to see Striking Alibi attract support in the market. She’s been finding the line strongly in her races, and with James McDonald booked, it’s understandable that punters have been willing to back her.
She certainly has the ability to win. Her latest effort when runner-up to Bangkok Hottie, was encouraging. She’ll be at her best if there’s plenty of speed up front, although coming from the rear of the field can make things tricky.
A larger field may have suited her chances, but the market support is worth respecting given the upside she has, and the former Perth-based runner, who is now with Chris Waller, demands attention with Flight Stakes predictions.

Bangkok Hottie is one of our favourite horses to back, and although we’ve found one to beat here, she should still run a good race.
The David Payne-trained filly comes off back-to-back wins against similar opposition, and she was strong when holding off Striking Alibi last time out. That’s a good form guide, and the only worry is stretching out to the mile.
However, she has been jumping much better recently and putting herself on the speed, which is a good tactic at Randwick. If she can get an uncontested lead, they might not catch her, so the $3.30 odds are a good saver bet.
If there is late money for her, that will be a good sign, but as it stands, her odds could drift to around $3.50, and they’ll be worth snapping up.

There is a lot of Kiwi interest with De Armas, who raced with Johno Benner in New Zealand before being sold to Australian interests and moving to the Chris Waller stable.
She had no betting support when running fifth most recently, but Waller wanted to see what he was working with, and she hit the line nicely. That prompted her opening odds of $34 to be smashed into $14, and that’s a serious move.
She is a serious racehorse, and although the level of opposition is much harder in Australia, especially as a 3YO, she could run in the money to boost payouts.

Punters get value odds with our Flight Stakes SRM, which includes our three selected runners.
We have Striking Alibi Top 2, Bangkok Hottie Top 2, and De Armas Top 4, which pays $6.00 for our three-runner SRM.
The small field doesn’t allow punters to get much value with same-race multi odds, but we’re putting Striking Alibi and Bangkok Hottie in our quinella bets, and De Armas Top 4 gives punters $6 odds.
