The current favourite with Behemoth Stakes odds is Sir Now, who keeps producing good efforts, but many runners are looking to beat the favourite, and our Behemoth Stakes predictions are keen on a runner at odds to score an upset.
Betcha has generous odds available for Shady Thinker, and we’re not sure why he’s paying so much. He opened at $9.50 before blowing out to double figures in the market, and that’s OK if other punters don’t fancy his chances.
The 5YO son of So You Think is unbeaten in two fresh-up starts, so he likes to hit the ground running, and that could have been overlooked by bookmakers. He’s also a past winner at Morphettville when winning in October, and although that came at BM70 grade, he got the better of Zunna, who he faces again in this race.
It could pay to overlook his two runs in New South Wales. Going that way around didn’t suit him, and from barrier five, he’s likely to get all favours in the run. That’s enough to include him in Behemoth Stakes tips at the long odds, and he should give punters a sight.

Sir Now is a marvel, and he keeps producing good runs. There is a worry that he could be fatigued after finishing second at Morphettville two weeks ago, but he didn’t get all favours in the run.
The 5YO son of Sir Prancelot owns nine wins and 10 placings from 26 starts, so he has been a profitable bet throughout his career. Two of those wins have come on the track, and he has been unlucky at times after being caught wide. The Behemoth Stakes barrier draw didn’t help him with barrier 11, but his class takes him close.
It comes as no surprise to see his opening odds of $8.50 firm with Betcha. He’s a popular runner most weeks, and if jockey Connor Murtagh can find a forward spot from the draw, he could out-tough the rest of the field.

It could pay to look past the recent form of Air Assault, who could return to his best form at Morphettville.
The 6YO son of Justify is a seven-time winner at the track, and although yet to win fresh up, he’s used to facing tougher fields than the Behemoth Stakes. He ran behind the likes of Light Infantry Man and Birdman in Melbourne last preparation, and there isn’t a runner that holds a candle to them in this field.
There is some trepidation in Behemoth Stakes betting markets after opening at $10, but that’s warranted. His best recent result was a sixth, so it’s a matter of keeping the faith with Air Assault, who is getting close to breaking the $1 million barrier.
