20-4 Arnold Allen enters the Main Event on the back of a loss via decision to Jean Silva at 324 back in Jan. #7 Arnold Allen is 11-3 in his decade with the UFC, with seven wins via decision (64%).
His opponent, Melquizael Costa is 26-7, (7-2 in the UFC) and is on an impressive six-fight win streak. His most recent win was over Dan Ige in Feb, winning within the first round via spinning back kick and has won his last two fights via KO/TKO with his lethal kicks that sounds like a cricket bat. Melquizael Costa sits in rank #12 and a win over Allen would see him inside the top 10.
Arnold Allen has a gatekeeping mission against Costa, with Costa’s momentum and being so active, up against a somewhat downward-trending Allen, who, prior to that Jean Silva fight hadn’t fought since July 2024.
I see Costa keeping his length, out striking Allen over three rounds, but I’m not sure of his gas tank over the five. But then you consider the lethal kick threat that Costa also possesses. Allen is very technical, has never been knocked out, and has fought some of the best the division has to offer. Momentum might just be the differential for Costa in this fight. Either way we’ve got an exciting Main Event to look forward to.

Daniel Santos (13-2) is on a four-fight win streak in the UFC after losing his debut at 273 to Julio Arce. From his four wins, he has won two via KO, and two via decision.
Choi and Santos were meant to face off in the octagon back in September 2025, but the fight was cancelled due to Choi suffering a knee injury. Daniel Santos has not been without
his own issues, missing weight with Joo-Sang by 3.6kg before collecting the win by KO in the second round of the Catchweight bout.
Choi showed that it’s not just all punching power with his display of versatility against Algeo, showcasing his grapple strength and wrestling ability in taking the fight to the ground with his three submission attempts.
Choi will have the height and a 7cm reach advantage in this fight and although 35 years of age, Choi is showing great versatility and development in his fights. I think he is a real threat as underdog here.

10-1 Malcolm Wellmaker will be looking to bounce back from his shock loss to late call-up Ethyn Ewing back in November. Wellmaker was 10-0 before losing to someone on their UFC debut that had only 48 hours notice. From his 10 wins, Malcolm has won six by KO/TKO and had won his first two UFC fights in the same manner within the first round (now 2-1 in UFC fights).
15-1 Juan Diaz gets his shot after winning his UFC contender series bout via a nasty spinning back elbow over Won Il Kwon in the second round. From his 15 professional wins, Juan has won five by KO/TKO, seven by decision, and two via submission.
I think the Ewing loss was a real wake-up call for Wellmaker and his team, regardless of cancelled bouts and late call-ups, you have to do your due-diligence on your opponent, and that sense of arrogance expecting to just be better than Ewing without research ultimately was their downfall. Hopefully his coaching team have learnt their lesson and that loss solidified a learning moment for Malcolm, and I think he will be the better for it.
