2020/21 New Zealand Jockey Premiership winner Danielle Johnson has provided us with her top bets to follow this weekend. Check them out below 👇
6 Vendabelle looks to have the most ability out of any in this race. Stepping up to a middle distance for the first time but being by Dundeel gives her every chance to be able to cope. Won’t get a better opportunity to break through.
6. Vendabelle (1) J: Matthew Cameron 56.5kg 8X354 T: Ken & Bev Kelso
6 Navy Ensign has been racing well in strong fields without a great deal of luck. This is the easiest task he has been asked to undertake so far and looks a great chance.
6. Navy Ensign (7) J: Matthew Cameron 57kg 222 T: Murray Thompson
1 Top Shelf has a sticky gate to overcome but has the early speed to put herself in the race. Racing super well and looks headed for a higher grade. The 3kg apprentice claim here should be an assist and looks a good each way chance.
1. Top Shelf (8) J: Hayley Hassman 61.5kg 2X232 T: Mark Walker & Sam Bergerson
3 She’s A Dealer trialled superbly before winning impressively fresh up at Ellerslie. Has found another very winnable race and with the 3kg claim looks very hard to beat.
3. She’s A Dealer (6) J: Sam McNab 58.5kg 125X1 T: Roger James & Robert Wellwood
9 Sperlari’s effort told late after a hard run three wide in the open in strong field at Pukekohe last time. Map looks kinder here and can bounce back hard.
9. Sperlari (5) J: Craig Grylls 57kg 13X49 T: Cody Cole
Reeled off huge sectionals in a slowly run race at Otaki. Step up in distance looks ideal, and although this is a stepping stone to bigger goals over Xmas, 4 Tisse should get the job done in what is a moderate line up.
4. Tisse (8) J: Kelly Myers 56kg 24212 T: Allan Sharrock
