Auckland FC and the Nix are both back in action this week, lifting and closing the curtain on match week eight.
After a perfect look last week with both the Derby tips hitting as well as the $22 multi, we’re looking for a repeat.
The Black Knights got back to their winning ways and kept their perfect record against the Wellington Phoenix intact after their 3-1 win at home.
This time, they head on the road to take on the Mariners, who have had a string of disappointing results.
I’ve banged on a lot about Auckland’s defence not quite being the same beast as it was last year, and since the start of November, both teams have scored in each game that AFC have featured in.
They should win here, but I’d imagine Central Coast can snag a goal back.
Newcastle scraped their way off the bottom of the table with a win two weeks ago away to Auckland. They then lost to Melbourne City 1-0 at home and now head to Sky Stadium to take on the Nix.
Both sides have only won two games this year. For Wellington, both came at home and for Newcastle, one win at home and one on the road.
The thing with these two sides is that you’re bound to see goals because neither team can keep the ball out of their own net.
Expect a goal fest down at the cake tin this weekend.
