NFL Week 10 Preview

NFL Week 10 Preview

Half of the NFL season is behind us, and it’s not getting any easier to understand who’s good and who’s not.

The Kansas City Chiefs are still favoured to win the Super Bowl after their yearly regular season loss to the Bills, but they still need to make the playoffs to do that.

Beats me, anyway. Let’s get into Week 10 of the NFL.

Denver Broncos
vs
Las Vegas Raiders
Friday 2:15pm | Empower Field At Mile High, Denver
Brock Bowers Anytime Touchdown @ $2.75

The Raiders are struggling at 2-6 and also just lost in an overtime thriller to the Jags. Going for the two-point conversion as time was counting down, Geno Smith wasn’t able to get the job done.

Credit to them, though, for not settling for the tie; to be fair, a tie and a loss are the same for Vegas at this point. They needed the win.

The good news is, Brock Bowers seems to be back, and they’ve realised giving him the ball as much as possible is a good idea. The bad news, they just traded away Jakobi Meyers and now face their division opponents away from home.

The Broncos are indeed not struggling and have their eyes set on the playoffs, and should make light work of the Raiders at home. It is an AFC West showdown, of course, but I think there’s more than enough in this Broncos side to cover the spread.

Because we’re backing the Broncos here, I’m going to back their sophomore quarterback, who’s been finding some rhythm of late. He’s had at least two or more passing touchdowns in his last three games, and I think he does it again in this divisional matchup.

I said it above, but it seems like the Raiders have realised how to get Bowers in the game. He’s still at a decent price for a touchdown, so we’ll back him in today and hope Gino Smith can do us all a favour and get the ball where it needs to be.

My Bets:

  • Denver Broncos -9 @ $1.90
  • Brock Bowers Anytime Touchdown @ $2.75
  • Bo Nix to have 2+ Passing Touchdowns @ $1.72
Indianapolis Colts
vs
Atlanta Falcons
Monday 3:30am | Olympiastadion, Germany
Atlanta Falcons +6.5 @ $1.90

We’re off to Germany, where the Colts take on the Falcons for the league’s latest instalment of their international series.

The Falcons lost to the Patriots despite a Drake London masterclass. Three touchdowns, nine catches for 118 yards. There wasn’t a whole lot of help for London with only Bijan Robinson clearing 50+ yards.

The Colts, who were leading the AFC on their own at 7-1, lost to the Steelers 27 points to 20. Jonathan Taylor only having 45 rushing yards seems to be the key factor in their loss.

This week, I’d expect a bounce-back game from Taylor, who’s been eyeing up offensive player of the year. Both running backs have been playing at an elite level, then throw in Drake London against a defence that allowed two td catches to receivers last week, and we have three touchdowns between them, surely right?

We’re going to stick with Drake London here; he’s cleared his line of 71.5 receiving yards in three of his last five. Each of the three times he’s had over 100 yards. I think he clears this line, yes, the Colts’ defence is good, but the volume should be there.

For a neutral contest, I think this line is way too big. The Falcons can compete, we know this and the Colts have some things to work out after their loss to the Steelers. Take the points with the Falcons.

My Bets:

  • Bijan Robinson / Drake London / Jonathan Taylor to have 3+ Touchdowns Combined @ $2.15
  • Drake London Over 71.5 Receiving Yards @ $1.88
  • Atlanta Falcons +6.5 @ $1.90
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
vs
New England Patriots
Monday 7:00am | Raymond James Stadium, Tampa
Baker Mayfield Over 245.5 Passing Yards @ $1.88

The Bucs have come back down to earth over the last couple of games after an extremely hot start on the back of their QB, Baker Mayfield.

He should be able to take advantage of a Patriots secondary that has struggled to contain the passing game.

Backer hasn’t had more than 250 yards in either of his last two games, which puts his line at 245.5. Great value if you ask me as I think Baker will get back to his best and make the most of a weak secondary.

As part of that, I think the rookie, Emeka Egbuka can get himself out of a rut as well. He’s been well below par in their last three games and the Bucs would love to have him back to his best.

You can’t count out Drake Maye and his 7-2 Patriots though. They’re on a six-game winning streak and have been one of the higher scoring teams in the league.

A shootout could be on the cards in Tampa and Maye is going to have to be at his best and keep getting six points on as many drives as possible. Take him for 2+ passing touchdowns.

My Bets:

  • Baker Mayfield Over 245.5 Passing Yards @ $1.88
  • Emeka Egbuka Over 71.5 Receiving Yards @ $1.88
  • Drake Maye to have 2+ Passing Touchdowns @ $1.65
Green Bay Packers
vs
Philadelphia Eagles
Tuesday 2:15pm | Lambeau Field, Green Bay
Josh Jacobs Anytime Touchdown Scorer (Super Boost)@ $2.00

It’s time for the Packers to test themselves against one of the NFC’s best and see how far they’ve come since last year’s playoff loss to Philly.

It’s hard to argue with success, but the Eagles haven’t been humming to say the least. They rank outside the top 15 in both offensive and defensive metrics but somehow keep finding ways to win.

I think they’ll struggle to produce big plays in Green Bay. This means Hurts will have to lead his team downfield with shorter passes and the run game. This should benefit DeVonta Smith who will line up in the slot the majority of the time.

He’s had 15 catches in the last two games, back him to go over 4.5 on Tuesday.

Green Bay are elite on the defensive side of the ball and rank first in stopping explosive plays. Jalen Hurts’ longest pass prop is set at 33.5. Way too high.

Josh Jacobs has been pretty much automatic when it comes to scoring touchdowns. He’s only not scored in one game this year and in a game of revenge for the Packers, I like Jacobs to score… get on the Super Boost!

My Bets:

  • DeVonta Smith Over 4.5 Receptions @ $1.85
  • Jalen Hurts Longest Completion Under 33.5 Yards @ $1.90
  • Josh Jacobs Anytime Touchdown Scorer (Super Boost)@ $2.00
Charlie’s Touchdown Factory
Four Leg TD Scorer Multi | $12.18

Each week, the Touchdown Factory opens up and provides four TD scorers for Monday’s games.

This is what’s being served up for Week 10:

  • Drake London Anytime Touchdown @ $ 2.35
  • Josh Allen Anytime Touchdown @ $1.82
  • Jaxon Smith-Njigba Anytime Touchdown @ $1.90
  • Christian McCaffrey Anytime Touchdown @ $1.50
