Just beaten by Affirmative Action last start and that horse was only narrowly beaten in the Group One Guineas last weekend. Gets 2kgs off here with Liam Kauri’s claim and at the $4 price looks a nice bet. Passiflora was huge last time but has come up fairly short.

Got too far out of her ground last start in a race dominated by the leader but hit the line strongly running excellent sectionals. Blinkers come off for this race and of note the mare has won twice before using this gear change. Maps to be able to sit a lot closer this time and capable of winning.
3. Royal Flower (4) J: Mereana Hudson 56.5kg X7475 T: Gail Temperton
Two good efforts this campaign without great luck. Handles the rain affected tracks and can get back into the winning groove this week. Opening odds $4.20
8. Flash Roca (8) J: Kendra Bakker 55kg 12X45 T: Kelvin Tyler
Looks to be building steadily to a win. Suited by step up in distance and gets to race in the consolation heat of the rating 75 stayers events. Looks well placed at each way odds of $5 and $2.05.
3. Atmospheric (13) J: Craig Grylls 58kg 4X436 T: Cody Cole
Another that looks to be building up to something. Too close in on a swoopers track first up and then got too far back last start. Rise in distance suits. Opening odds $4.60 and $2.
4. Kiwi Skyhawk (10) J: Matt Cartwright 59.5kg 11X95 T: Stephen Marsh
Fitness has steadily progressed this campaign and looks close to doing something. Sting out of the track suits and chance at each way odds. Opened $11 now at $8.
