We’ve made it to the last round of The Rugby Championship, and unless the Pumas can upset the Springboks at Twickenham and New Zealand beat the Aussies in Perth, the South Africans will lock up The Rugby Championship for another season.
Plenty of changes for New Zealand heading into this last round, with the Bledisloe Cup secured already, Razor can afford to try a couple things this weekend.
I’m excited to see how they go about this weekend so let’s dive into our picks for the games.
There’s been plenty of chat around the Bledisloe Cup needing to be either a one-game or a three-game series. At the end of the day, I don’t think it matters because I’d back New Zealand to beat Australia when the lights are at their brightest.
And I’m really excited about this team Razor has named for the weekend.
DMac at 10, Quinn Tupaea gets a start in the midfield, and Peter Lakai also gets a start. It’s a great opportunity for some of these players to show what they’re made of.
Leroy Carter has been super impressive since he put on the black jersey, and my guess is that he’ll look to be extremely involved once again and try to lock down his position for the Northern Tour. Whether it’s a cheeky pick and go around the ruck, getting involved with a set piece or finishing off a move in the corner I reckon we’ll see the black 14 jersey cross the line.

The Springboks pumped the Pumas in Durban last week, and Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu put on an absolute clinic. I thought the one part of his game that was missing in Wellington before he went off was his tactical kicking. Not last weekend, though, he was near perfect across the whole park.
It’s a similar line-up for Rassie Erasmus this week, and I’m not going to make the same mistake twice.
We got burnt by taking the Pumas against the spread, and this week, the spread is shorter…
The Springboks look to be a class above the rest, and with a win, they’ll wrap up The Rugby Championship so there’s no need to find any extra motivation.
