Lurch (#3) has been getting too far back and dashing home with great sectionals. Bred to stay all day and gets to 2140 metres here. Hopefully can race a little handier and should be too strong. Opening odds $3.40.Â
Exaggeration (#3) put in a huge run last time when working wide for most of the way. This race looks a little tougher but just needs a decent trip to be winning again. Opening odds $1.95.Â
Branciforti (#6) is a synthetic track specialist who won this race last year carrying 57kgs. Actually gets in 5kgs lighter this year with the 2kg claim, so looks nicely placed. Each way bet. Opening odds $7.50.Â
