3 Just Charlie didn’t get clear until far too late in the strong Interprovincial race at New Plymouth. Anyone’s guess how the track will play here but if the forecast is right and it rains on the day his wide draw might become an asset.Â
11 Stella Success put in an enormous run at New Plymouth last start when posted very wide throughout. She ran excellent sectionals to win her maiden the start prior. Another drawn wide so hoping the rail is off by this stage but at the early odds of $13 and $3.80 is worth a go.Â
5 Wodeton was narrowly beaten in the Golden Slipper and because he hasn’t won a black type race he gets in on the minimum weight here so looks extremely well placed. Has trialled nicely leading into this, and with Raging Force all the talk in the race, they are offering $3 about this bloke.
