2020/21 New Zealand Jockey Premiership winner Danielle Johnson has provided us with her top three to follow on Saturday, 23 August. Check them out below 👇
2 Tor Ment Tor produced two superb performances against the track bias prior to last week at New Plymouth when he was denied racing room at a vital stage. One query is he does have hoof pads applied here but if that causes no real drama then he looks a great chance. Has opened quite short at $4. Â
3 Dorothy’s Daughter looks the overs in the race. Recorded smart sectionals last week in what was a tougher line up. Back to rating 60 grade and each way chance at $10 and $2.80. She is also in an earlier hurdle event so if she is scratched here switch to The Finnster. Capable staying mudlark who should be hard fit now. The $6 on offer is quite acceptable. Â
Looks a very competitive race but 4 Sweet But Psycho does represent some value here. Never got interested last start with the apprentice on but gets a senior rider here and is capable of sharp improvement. Trusting the stable still have enough freshness in her legs to be competitive over this trip. Will get back but look for her to be rattling home. Opening odds $18 and $4.60.Â
