Bad Education (#1) put in a huge run after racing back and wide in a race won by the leader two starts back, and lost momentum in the run home when held up for several strides in a stronger race last time out. Looks an each way play at the early odds. Opening odds $12 and $3.Ā
Favourite Levakia (#6) looks hard to beat butĀ Tide And Time (#2)Ā has been going superbly so far at the Ruakaka meetings. Caught wide in a strong open race on the first day and then stuck on the slower inner last time, only overhauled by a swooper late who was in the best part of the track. Each way bet at $4.80.Ā
Double Take (#5) actually won this race last year and showed he is getting back to form when an excellent fourth in a stronger race on the synthetic last start. Got way too far back that day so hopefully heĀ will get a better run closer to the pace from his inside draw. Opening odds $5.50 and $2.05.Ā
