Danielle Johnson’s Best Bets | Sunday 22 June

2020/21 New Zealand Jockey Premiership winner Danielle Johnson has provided us with her top three to follow on Sunday, 22 June. Check them out below 👇

Awapuni Race 1
4 Turn It Up
Race time:

Turn It Up (#4) put up some big efforts in her first campaign. Trialled superbly the other day and whilst she has yet to see a synthetic track at trials or raceday, she is trained on course so you have to trust the stable that she is adept on the surface. Opening odds $2. Covermeinshine does handle the synthetic well and faces a huge drop in class here. Saver at $4.80.

Awapuni Race 4
3 Bee Enchanted
Race time:

Bee Enchanted (#3) is a synthetic track specialist who has been going around on rain affected lately. Back to her favourable surface will be hard to beat. She actually started favourite in the 100k Synthetic 1400 metre Final in this course last August when finishing 5th equal with Lhasa. Opening odds $5.

Awapuni Race 1
9 King Cabal
Race time:

King Cabal (#9) is bred to stay all day and has been going tidy race this campaign over 1600 metres. Unlucky not to have nearly paid a dividend here last time when stopped in his tracks when making ground despite being in the slower part of the track. Drawn out here which should suit with the rail generally off at Te Aroha on a wet track. Gives jockey Lynsey Satherley options. The bet looks to be top 4 at $3.40.
