The Blues head to Suva to take on the Drua as favourites.
The same venue the Drua just took down a good Reds side. If they can repeat last week’s efforts and pull of another upset it’ll end the defending champs season early.
It’s meant to be wet this weekend in the rain and most teams struggle in the wet, but not the Drua. However, I think the bookies have this one right.
The Blues are trending upwards, BB is playing like an All Black number 10 and has their attack humming.
Because of the weather, I’m leaning towards the Drua point start at 7.5.
A big Aussie derby between two sides that don’t like losing to each other, rugby union’s State of Origin.
The Tahs at home, underdogs and outside of the top six but they get to play a Reds side who will be stinging after their loss to the Drua.
After being pumped by the Brumbies we’ve seen a bit of money come the Tahs way coming in from 5.5 point underdogs to 3.5. With both teams right in the playoff hunt I like the Tahs at home to get up and beat a Reds side that has dropped some games that they should be winning.
Just playing it a touch safe, we missed out on the 5.5 line but I think it’s still worth taking as a multi filler at this price.
One plays two down in Christchurch and there’s no doubt that this is the game of the round. A match up that could potentially lead to hosting a final should they get there.
Damien McKenzie and Wallace Sititi are both suiting up for the Chiefs and that could just swing it the Chiefs way.
It’s going to be a tight one no doubt, and in a tight one I’d tend to lean to which team has the better talent in those important positions. That becomes a tick in the Chiefs box with D Mac stepping into the 10 jersey.
On the other hand, it is down in Christchurch. A tough place to go play for any team so it’s really a pick ‘em for me which is why I like the tri-bet winning margin.
The Brumbies are on a heater, winning four of their last five and the Force are on whatever the opposite of a heater is, winning just one of their last five.
After a hot start and plenty of games at home, the Force have fallen off after a tough stretch in New Zealand.
This may sound like a cop out, but when I left Tizzano was a try scoring machine and after two weeks of missing out, he was back over the line where he belongs and I’d back him to go back-to-back.
