Sister Cynane (#6) trialled like a star as a two-year-old and looked all over a black type filly. Surprisingly, she just hasn’t gone on with it, but has had a freshen up since last racing and has had a few gear changes. The stable is on fire and trusting she will be ready to go. Strikes a very winnable race here, and if she is going to bounce back, this will be the day. Opening odds $2.70. Ascension (#8) is another one of ours in this race so include her in combinations.
Cast Of Diamonds (#3) gets one more chance. Didn’t get the rub of the green at Rotorua but was very good to still finish second to Quid, who subsequently went on to only narrowly get beaten next start in a strong rating 75 race. One win from 15 attempts is not inspiring, but this looks a great opportunity for him to kick on. Opening odds $3.10.Â
Rollins (#5) is a richly bred three year old who will relish getting out to the 1600 metre journey. His sectionals from both starts have been super. Inside draw may not be an advantage here but trusting George Rooke to find the best ground at a nice each way play of $9 and $2.70.Â
