Raghallaigh (#6) is resuming and has come up at big odds for a horse that has three starts on the specialist synthetic Riccarton surface for three placings. Admittedly the favourites map very well and Raghallaigh will likely get a long way back but it’s worth having something on at $35 and $7.50. Top 4 at $4.60 looks the bet.
Buoyant (#3) has two impressive wins from two attempts on the Riccarton synthetic so the $5 and $2 looks a very acceptable each way bet. Drawn to follow the hot speed and should be hard to beat given even luck.
Proserve (#3) has been blowing the start in last couple and giving the leaders too big of a head start. Races very well on the synthetic surface and will be hard to beat with a clean getaway. Each way odds of $8.50 and $2.80.
