Beat a similar quality field at Ellerslie only to lose the race in the Enquiry room. Stays at the same weight and map looks kind. Any rain no concern. Opening odds $2.70.
Has looked above average winning two trials. Sat wide in the first one at Pukekohe over 800 metres which isn’t easy to do and then headed off a smart filly on the Cambridge synthetic in his second go. Drawn nicely and should get a lovely run behind the speed. The opening odds of $5.50 and $2.15 look very acceptable.
No spoil at the price but this filly looked the big improver out of the fillies 1600 metre race on this course two weeks ago, when running into trouble in the run home before finishing the race off strongly. The wet track will only enhance her chances and she looks like she will eat up the 2000 metre journey.
