Didn’t get all favours in the run home on debut in a strong 3yo race, but closed off very strongly. Extra 200 metres should be ideal, and Michael McNab jumps on board here. Opening price $2.70. The value in the race is 8 Kids Got Gears. Great sectionals against Ballon D’Or and Wingman two starts back and then caught wide but was still okay in the Wellington Guineas last start. $17 and $4.40 ($3.10 Top 4) is overs.
Has been too good for subsequent black type performer in her last two. Going for six wins from her last six starts in NZ here and looks good value at $4.50. The draw is a query, but she looks high class. We’ve been backing Platinum Attack, and he is going super as well. No need to drop off him but Tomodachi looks a Group 1 mare in the making.
Meets a strong field but looks a nice Top 4 bet at $2.50. She went super against the two favourites on debut after covering extra ground. Draws in here and should get a softer run. Big hope to run in the top four.
