Liverpool extended their lead to 15 at the top of the Premier League table.
As we get into match week 29, the Reds as well as Aston Villa won’t be in action this week which means we’ve got eight games to look at.
Here’s my preview for match week 29 of the Premier League.
This game screams draw.
Three straight draws for the Toffees and West Ham aren’t all that threatening either.
Earlier in the season this fixture produced a 0-0 draw. It will be a game where I back the draw and check the score in the morning expecting to see two or less goals scored.
Nottingham Forest knocked off City last week and could well be on their way to a top four finish.
It looked as though they were slowing down but after last week’s win and their upcoming fixtures, the Trees look a great chance to be playing European football next year.
Getting even money against Ipswich Town seems criminal but if the bookies are going to give it to us, I’m going to take it.
If Southampton can’t grab three more points before the end of the season, they’ll go down in the books with the worst points tally ever in a season.
Wolves haven’t been convincing but just like any team that plays Ipswich, we have to back anyone playing the Saints.
The Wolves are above even money to take the three points at St. Mary’s. Something they’ve done on their last four trips there.
Having won this fixture earlier in the season, Brighton head to the Etihad to try and make history. Their first ever Premier League double over Manchester City. A win will see them overtake City on the ladder.
City have been up and down all year and never quite got it figured out. They’re in a down patch at the moment having lost three of their last five league games.
I like the Seagulls to make history here paying $4.25 for the win. But the double chance seems like the safer punt.
Not too long ago, Brentford were looking at a potential top four finish. Since then, they’ve endured a rough stretch only picking up more points than the bottom three teams during that span.
This sees them drop from 4th to 9th and they come up against Brentford who have played their best football on the road this year.
Brentford are unbeaten in five games against Bournemouth, and that is a stat I’d like to lean into.
Another London derby but it’s the battle of the mid-table.
Spurs have been good on the road as of late but it was against average opposition.
The Cottagers however, are looking to get back into the top half with a win.
I can’t pick a side but I do think we’ll see goals from both sides this weekend.
Arteta and his players haven’t given up on the title yet (I think most fans have) But without a sticker, they’ve been on a role in the Champions League but haven’t been as effective in the Premier League.
Chelsea aren’t far behind the Gunners either and a win here will see them move within three points of the second spot.
Luckily for the Gunners, they are at home and Chelsea have one of the worst away records in the league.
United have made their way through to the next round of the Europa League, a draw against Arsenal and a new stadium in the works… are things turning around for the Red Devils?
If they are, they should have a win here against the Foxes who have struggled all season.
Bruno Fernandes has been in fine form and I don’t see why he can’t add to his goal tally this weekend.
