Premier League Best Bets | Gameweek 28

Premier League Best Bets | Gameweek 28

After some more Champions League football during the week we’re back for match week 28.

A good strike rate last week, let’s see if we can run it back.

Nottingham Forest
vs
Manchester City
1:30am, Sunday | The City Ground, Nottingham
Chris Wood Anytime Goal Scorer @ $2.25

It’s 3rd vs 4th this week to kick off the round and I bet at the start of the season you wouldn’t have said this would be Nottingham in 4rd, hosting City in 4th.

After a tough couple of weeks for the Trees saw them slide a little back, meanwhile City despite their loss to Liverpool two weeks back they’ve managed to climb the ladder back to the top 4.

I’d love to see Nottingham continue their fairytale season alongside a Chris Wood goal.

Liverpool
vs
Southampton FC
4:00am, Sunday | Anfield, Liverpool
SGM: Liverpool to Win, Mo Salah Anytime Goal Scorer & Any Time Assist @ $2.77

It’s Liverpool’s title to lose now and I can’t see them letting this slip. Especially not this week when they host the Cherries.

I can’t wrap my head around why Liverpool haven’t resigned Mo Salah. He’s not showing any signs of slowing down, on track for a record breaking season and I think he’ll continue that this weekend against the worst team in the league.

Southampton are bad and Liverpool have Mo Salah.

Crystal Palace
vs
Ipswich Town
4:00am, Sunday | Selhurst Park, London
Crystal Palace to Win & Over 2.5 Goals @ $2.15

Any side that comes up against one of the bottom three teams this year seems like a good bet. This is the case once again with Crystal Palace welcoming Ipswich to town.

Ipswich have struggled in the top tier, recording only one win against teams sitting in 12th or better.

Unfortunately for them, Crystal Palace have been great at home recently.

Brighton & Hove Albion
vs
Fulham
4:00am, Sunday | American Express Stadium, Falmer
Brighton to Win @ $2.00

There aren’t too many sides in the league that are in better form than Brighton at the moment. After their kick in the guts against Nottingham, they’ve gone on a four game winning streak scoring 11 goals and conceding 2.

The Seagulls haven’t beaten Fulham since 2017 but they’re in with a great chance to end that streak and continue their run to a European football spot.

Brentford
vs
Aston Villa
6:30am, Sunday | Gtech Community Stadium, Brentford
Aston Villa to Win & Both Teams to Score @ $4.20

Aston Villa have bounced back from a rough run of form and head into this game unbeaten in their last six against Brentford. They won the reverse fixture earlier in the season and with a win here, could do the double over the Bee’s for the first time since 1946/47 season.

The Bees have struggled to stay consistent this year but so have Aston Villa. This is leaning towards a high scoring affair.

Wolverhampton Wanderers
vs
Everton FC
9:00am, Sunday | Molineux Stadium, Wolverhampton
Draw @ $3.20

Wolves have a tough test if they want to get back in the winner’s circle because Everton are still running hot.

Unbeaten in five of their last six, Everton have proven difficult recording three draws and a win over the last four.

This should be a relatively even contest, and the Toffees love a draw.

Tottenham Hotspur
vs
AFC Bournemouth
3:00am, Monday | Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London
Both Teams to Score & Over 3.5 Goals @ $2.10

It’s been 28 weeks of watching Tottenham and I wouldn’t be surprised if anyone has figured them out. The only way to describe them is just this, ‘Spursy’.

They show up in the weirdest ways in the weirdest moments which makes them such a frustrating team for opposing coaches to dissect.

When they last met, Bournemouth took out a 1-0 win but this should be a more open and free flowing game.

Chelsea
vs
Leicester City
3:00am, Monday | Stamford Bridge, London
Pedro Neto Anytime Goal Scorer @ $2.30

Chelsea came up against Southampton at a great time last week, snapping their three game losing streak with an easy win. This week they take on another bottom feeder and I’m expecting a similar result.

Chelsea need to continue to pick up wins if they want to play Champions League next season and they should be able to take three points from the Foxes who have lost five of their last six.

Manchester United
vs
Arsenal
5:30am, Monday | Old Trafford, Manchester
Man United or Draw @ $2.00

Arsenal, despite not having a striker managed to put seven goals passed PSV during the week in the Champions League Round of 16. I think the bookies have seen this and reacted because $1.75 favourites at Old Trafford is absurd.

Yes United haven’t been convincing but this should be a closer match up than the odds are suggesting.

Arsenals league form has been far from the perfect they’ve needed to catch Liverpool and I think their focus will switch to winning the Champions League.

West Ham United
vs
Newcastle United
9:00am, Tuesday | London Stadium, London
Draw @ $3.45

The Hammers have picked up some good wins over the last couple of weeks and now they have the chance off knock off another top side.

Newcastle, just like most other teams were caught in Liverpool’s wake last week and will be after a rebound performance.

Both teams should be up for this game and despite their being nine positions between the sides on the ladder, I think this will be a tightly contested affair.
