The Valley Race 4
4 Pride Of Jenni
Race time:

I’ve backed Pride Of Jenni in both of her recent starts, and while she was outpaced by Mr. Brightside in the Makybe Diva Stakes two weeks ago, I believe she has some key advantages this time. First, she should relish getting back on a firmer track, as she had to slog through a heavy surface at Headquarters. Second, she’s already beaten Mr. Brightside twice over this distance, and in a small field like this, it’s unclear who he’ll track into the straight as he did last time. With two solid runs under her belt, she’s in peak condition now, and if she takes an early lead like she often does, good luck reeling her in.

The Valley Race 5
1 Eneeza
Race time:
Eneeza is strong when fresh and should handle the 1200m well. Her last run was in the Magic Millions 2YO Classic during the Brisbane Winter Carnival, where things didn’t go her way after a slow start and tough conditions on a damp track. Despite that, she has good form against horses like Lady Of Camelot and Hayasugi, with Lady Of Camelot recently running well in the Moir Stakes before a forgivable performance in The Shorts. While there’s a small question mark over the distance first-up, her recent jumpout suggests she’s fit and ready to challenge.
The Valley Race 7
2 Veight
Each Way
Race time:
Veight is a strong contender first-up, capable of competing with the top runners in this race. Earlier this year, he kicked off his autumn campaign by winning the Australia Stakes at The Valley, surging along the rail to defeat horses like Southport Tycoon and Recommendation in the final strides. He followed that with a solid place in the Australian Guineas before confirming his status as a top-level competitor by winning the George Ryder to finish his Sydney prep. His two recent trials have been impressive, and with proven ability to come from behind and handle the final bend at this track, expect him to be flying home at the finish.
The Valley Race 8
7 Jennilala
Race time:

I’m excited to see Jennilala return to the track in the Stocks Stakes after nearly four weeks off. Last month, she ran fresh over 1400m at Caulfield, where she was caught wide early and had to push forward more than planned heading into the turn. Still, she was only beaten by 1.6 lengths by the talented Another Wil, who went on to win again last Saturday. With a trial under her belt since that run and an ideal draw in barrier four, we can expect further improvement from her this time around.
