Colorado Rockies @ New York Yankees
Tip: Rockies Under 2.5 Runs, Player Picks: Carlos Rodon Over Strikeouts Total

Carlos Rodon takes the mound for the Bronx Bombers looking to bounce back from a rough outing in Detrot last week that saw him give up four earned runs in 3.1 innings of work.

The veteran left-hander has been a much more reliable bet at home than he has been on the road this year, sporting a 3.39 ERA and an outstanding opponent batting average of just .197.

The Rockies have lost back to back games heading in and have struggled against southpaws all season, currently ranking second in strikeout percentage.

With the Yankees sitting only 1.5 games clear of Baltimore in the AL East, Colorado would love nothing more than to make life difficult, but with Aaron Judge and Juan Soto on fire this week, I can’t see it happening.

Texas Rangers @ Cleveland Guardians
Tip: Back the Guardians to Win, Player Picks: Tanner Bibee Over Strikeout Total

Tanner Bibee is on the rubber for the Guardians making his 25th start of the year.

The right-hander has been outstanding through two starts so far this month, holding the Twins to just one run a fortnight ago, and the Brewers to only two in five strong innings to go with seven strikeouts last week.

The Rangers, meanwhile, have lost six of their last 10, while they also rank middle of the laegue in runs scored and on-base percentage over the last seven days.

Compare that to the Guardians, who rank third in runs scored during the same time frame, it’s easy to get on board with Cleveland in this game, especially if Bibee continues to deal.

Tampa Bay Rays @ Los Angeles Dodgers
Tip: Back the Rays Over the Run Total, Player Pick: Bobby Miller Under Strikeout Total

It’s fair to say Bobby Miller might not be in the Dodgers’ rotation right now if it weren’t for their enormous list of injuries.

The 25-year-old was recalled from AAA last week in time to face the Cardinals, but things quickly went haywire when he gave up four earned runs in as many innings on his way to a 2-5 loss.

Miller’s previous start was even worse, surrendering nine earned runs to the Phillies on the road.

This might be a slightly easier assignment against a Rays team that seemingly doesn’t want to push for an AL Wild Card spot, but at the same time, this is still a club that ranks 11th in runs scored over the last week, not to mention their winning record on the road.
